Microsoft’s OneDrive, formerly known as SkyDrive, is one of the easiest ways out there to quickly save your pictures to the cloud and share with others. Now that Microsoft has been offering at least 15 GB or up to 25 GB of free space on OneDrive, many users are using this cloud storage service to upload and share files and pictures.
Earlier this week, Microsoft even removed the upload file size limit so that users can upload files larger than 2GB. In other words, before this, OneDrive wouldn’t allow users to upload files larger than 2 GB. One had to split a file larger than 2 GB into multiple files to be able to upload files to OneDrive.
Now that you have moved your OneDrive folder to an external drive, simply drag the folders or files from your photo library that you want to move to OneDrive. This can take some time (in my case it took about 45 minutes to move all 286GB of pictures and videos from their location on my external drive to a new folder in my OneDrive folder.
